How will the NEW Nonprofit Board Revitalize Nonprofits & Renew New York?
NYTAP and Baruch College School of Public Affairs (http://www.baruch.cuny.edu/spa/) invite you to a TOWN HALL MEETING with JASON LILIEN, Director of the Charities Bureau of the NYS Attorney General’s Office (http://www.charitiesnys.com) on June 8, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. At Baruch College School of Public Affairs, 135 East 22nd Street.
Hear about the findings and recommendations of the recent report: “Revitalizing Nonprofits, Renewing New York”, issued by the Leadership Committee for Nonprofit Revitalization, under the aegis of New York State Attorney General.
Mr. Lilien is leading a working group of the Leadership Committee for Nonprofit Revitalization to develop ways to implement the Report’s recommendations.
Among many sweeping considerations, the report calls for enhanced board oversight over executive compensation, external financial audits, and new methods of board recruitment and education.
How will YOUR board address these issues and put appropriate changes in policy and operations into effect?
You are invited to join NYTAP moderator, MARIA BADALI, and nonprofit board consultant, ANNE GREEN,and others in making comments and asking questions.
