“I got just what I had hoped for and a lot more; there were so many aspects of building a consulting business I hadn’t even considered.”
Rosemarie loved her job and was proud of her work building a renowned communications program funded by the National Cancer Institute. But when cuts in funding made it impossible for the program to continue she found herself out of work.
Consulting seemed like the next step but Rosemarie wasn’t sure how to get started. She began exploring and landed on the Association of Nonprofit Specialists website where she saw an announcement for Nonprofit Consultants Institute. She signed up right away!

Rosemarie got more than she had hoped for – her training included loads of information, exercises and group interaction. The real bonus for her was the experienced consultants, from all different backgrounds, sharing their knowledge and experience.
It didn’t end there, Rosemarie was impressed with the follow-up and ongoing support. As she says, “consulting can be lonely,” so making connections is invaluable.
Rosemarie was part of the first Nonprofit Consultants Institute in 2013. She is now a successful Health Communications Program Consultant to National Cancer Information & Research Organizations.
